FLOWER BACKS BROAD

The coach of the England test team, Andy Flower, has hailed Stuart Broad for his wonderful bowling spell on the fourth day of the 4th Ashes test match which was played at Durham.

Broad dismissed 6 Aussie batsmen in his spell after tea and helped his team bundle Australia out for just 224 runs to seal the series.

Broad bowled some great deliveries in that spell. The one that he bowled to dismiss Michael Clarke was just unplayable. It drifted in and then, moved away to knock the stumps over. Clarke was completely bamboozled.

England v New Zealand 2013

The England cricket team will be embarking on a tour of New Zealand next month – the first such visit to the country since 2008 – and will be playing a series of Test matches, Twenty20 internationals and one-day internationals during the tour, offering a feast for both cricket fans and those who enjoy betting on the game with sports betting sites. As of yet there is not much information available at these sites about the odds being offered for the tour, but it is only a matter of time before such information becomes available.

OUT FOR 232

MEAKER LOVING HIS CRICKET

The fast bowler of the England cricket team, Stuart Meaker, has expressed his delight over the fact that he will be playing under two great captains i.e. Graeme Smith and Ricky Ponting at Surrey in the ongoing County season.

Smith has already joined the Surrey squad and he will be leading the side in their first game this season against Somerset.

Smith will go to play for South Africa in the Champions Trophy in June and in his absence, Ponting will join the Surrey squad.

COMPTON RELIEVED

The opening batsman of the England test team, Nick Compton, has said that he is relieved after scoring a hundred in England’s second innings of the first test match against New Zealand.

In the first innings of that match, Compton had got out without scoring any run. He had not scored too many runs in the test series against India as well. So, he was under tremendous pressure when he came out to bat in the second innings. But, Compton kept his cool and delivered under pressure.

ENGLAND NEEDED MORE

The captain of the England Cricket team, Alastair Cook, has said that the pitch in the third ODI against India was a flat one and the England team should have put more runs on the board.

The English batting order failed for the second time in the series and managed to score only 155 runs in the third ODI against India which was played at HEC International Cricket Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

HALES WANTS TO IMPRESS

The opening batsman of the England T20 team, Alex Hales, has said that he wants to represent England in all formats of the game. He doesn’t want to be considered as a T20 specialist.

In the first T20 match between Indian and England which was played at Pune, Hales scored a fine half century. He scored 56 runs off just 35 balls and gave England a blistering start. At one point of time, Hales was playing with a strike rate of 200, but, when Yuvraj Singh came into the attack, Hales’ strike rate came down a bit and eventually, it was Yuvraj who sent Hales to the pavilion.

ENGLAND SUFFER

The England cricket team lost three quick wickets in the last hour of the second day of the first test match against India and got into trouble. The Indian team declared its first innings on 521/8 and the England batsmen had to face 18 overs on the second day.

ENGLAND SUFFER AGAINST WINDIES

The England Cricket team has been defeated by West Indies in its first Super 8 match in the World T20 Championship played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. West Indies won the match by 15 runs and managed to get two points. This was the second consecutive defeat of England in the tournament. The English team had to suffer a humiliating defeat against India in its last group stage match.

ANDERSON MAKES SQUAD

James Anderson has been included in the England T20 squad on the place of Steven Finn for the three T20 matches against South Africa. Anderson was not a part of the original squad, but, due to Finn’s back injury, the English selectors decided to call back Anderson in the T20 squad.
